Sister Wives marathon on New Year’s Day

TLC is airing a Sister Wives marathon on New Year’s Day, starting at 5:00 p.m. Sister Wives is the controversial reality series about a polygamist family in Utah. Kody Brown is the head of the family that includes four wives and 16 children. Catch up on the first season of Sister Wives, including the Honeymoon special on January 1, 2011.

Kody Brown has four wives, inlcuding: Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn. The season finale of Sister Wives, which features the wedding of Kody to fourth wife Robyn. The reality series brought unexpected legal problems for Kody Brown, who had been living the polygamist lifestyle secretly until the series brought attention to the Brown family.

Kody legally married hs first wife, Meri, 20 years ago. Their 20th wedding anniversary was the focus of one of the episodes of the series. The first season also included the birth of a new baby by Kody’s third wife, Kody courted his fourth wife, Robyn, who he married in the season finale. The wedding of Kody and Robyn will air in the Sister Wives episode on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 10:30 p.m. ET. The season finale will air after a Sister Wives marathon on TLC that includes: Meet Kody and the Wives at 5:00; Courting a Fourth Wife at 6:00; Wives on the Move at 6:30; Third Wife in Labor at 7:00; 1st Wife’s 20th Anniversary at 7:30; Fourth Wive to Be at 8:00; and Four Wives and Counting at 8:30, Sister Wives Honeymoon Special at 9:00 p.m. and Sister Wives Special (with Natalie Morales) at 10:00 p.m. Sister Wives episodes continue to air through 3:00 a.m.
