Britain's youngest female double murderer jailed for life

London: A 16-year-old British schoolgirl, who became the country's youngest female after killing her alcoholic father and a woman companion, was on Wednesday sentenced to life imprisonment.
Lorraine Thorpe of Clapgate Lane Ipswich was just 15 when she along with 41-year-old Paul Clarke killed her father Desmond Thorpe and Rosalyn Hunt in August last year.
Hunt, 41, was beaten to death in Ipswich, by Lorraine who kicked, punched and stamped on her head, British media said.
Lorraine's father Desmond, 43, an alcoholic and a friend of Clarke, was smothered amid fears that he would tell the police about the first murder.Lorraine, sentenced at the Old Bailey, will serve at least 14 years behind bars. Clarke has already been jailed for life with a minimum term of 27 years. While pronouncing the judgement, a judge said Clarke was the "instigator" in the murder of Hunt, also an alcoholic, although Thorpe "played a full part". Lorraine's parents had split up when she was 12 and she initially lived with her mother before going to look after her alcoholic father at 13.She was spending all her time with middle-aged alcoholics who were involved in criminal activities, the media said.
